Some of them are just names given by the fanbase which have been popularized to the point that they have become the very name of the characters (see:Rexy), or simple "joke/sarcastic" references that now act as names (see: Princess).
Whether characters without names (such as the "demon carno" which lacks one horn in FK, or the Alberto in FK which lacks an arm) are to be counted has not yet been decided. All characters are listed in Alphabetical order.

Species: Tyrannosaurus rex.
Origin of Name: Roland Tembo, a big game hunter jokingly refers to the male Tyrannosaurus as the name used for male deer, "Buck". It has become a sort of nickname for this specific Tyrannosaurus individual.
Gender: Male
Design: He adorns a dewlap on his throat and a larger nasal crest to compared to Doe. He also has green on his body as upper countershading, which transitions into a yellow, to a white underside. His back is dark in color and has yellow stripes on it running the length of the body. There are also dark stripes present on the yellow antorbital of the snout.
Story: Buck was a male Tyrannosaurus that lived on Isla Sorna (A fictional island in the Jurassic franchise universe). He had a mate, "Doe", and an offspring "Junior". When a group of hunter-gatherers snatched Junior away from his nest, he followed them with his mate and found Junior inside a vehicle near a cliff. The characters inside the vehicle returned Junior back to Buck, so Buck and Doe peacefully left the area to deliver their juvenile to a safe spot, only to return to push the vehicle off the cliff. After that, they leave and return once more, to find a smaller vehicle (a car) trying to rescue the former vehicle. They rip the car into shreds before dragging up the driver from his car and ripping him in two to feast. They quickly left the area soon after but they did not stop tracking the people that had previously snatched Junior. Buck and his mate track them down to their encampment where they discover numerous people lay asleep. After disturbing the group, Buck stayed in the area while the female started to chase the escaping people. Buck is soon tranquilized by Roland Tembo and captured. He was then transported to San Diego through a ship that had mysteriously lost its crew. When people walked onto the ship to investigate, he was accidentally released and set loose. Buck traveled off the docks, and into the city. He arrived at a sleeping neighborhood, extremely thirsty. He barged into a backyard to acquire nourishment by drinking from a swimming pool and munching on a pet dog. Even presumably killing a boy and his parents that were present at the house. He was then seen chasing people, cars and a bus on the streets of San Diego soon after. Even the police and Animal Control were incapable of capturing the animal as it roams around freely. While Buck was on his stroll through the city, he walked into a fuel station after recognizing the distressed wails of his offspring. In order to rescue him, he chased the car holding his offspring and is then led back onto the docks, right into the ship, where he found both Junior and the person who was the reason behind this entire debacle regarding the mainland. He allowed his offspring to kill the person. After that, he tried to escape the ship once more, only to be tranquilized again. Later he can be seen back on the mainland with his family.

Species: There are about five species of Mamenchisaurus, some of which might get reclassified as their own genera. It is impossible to determine the species since all of them co-existed, with the impossibility being doubled by the fact that Er-Ma is a sauropodlett.
Origin of Name: Erma is a common name in Northern China, where Mamenchisaurus was found. The name's latter part (-Ma) is influenced by the "Ma" in Mamenchisaurus.
Gender: Male as evidenced by the description of the book, when put into Google Translate [1]
Design: The design of Er-Ma is difficult to describe properly as it is a mosaic of different patterns and colors. Brown and Blue are commonly visible however they seem to change depending on the lighting of the scene.
Story: Er-Ma, with his sibling, was going about his daily life,
roaming across the forest floor, curiously investigating a spider, and sometimes looking for food until he and his sibling walked into an area which had a pair of metriacanthosaurid theropods roaming around. One of them, hidden behind the foliage suddenly ambushed Er-Ma and his sibling. It kills and eats Er-Ma's sibling, as Er-Ma retreats to preserve his life. Another Metriacanthosaurid arrives at speed to chase an escaping Er-Ma across the jungle. Er-Ma, having gotten a headstart is able to use his coloration as camouflage to hide from the chasing theropod. He manages to lose his predator and comes upon a Tuojiangosaurus (Qi Chuan) that is feeding peacefully. Soon afterward the theropods show up and fight Qi Chuan, and lose. Er-Ma, having noticed the short fight starts to see Qi Chuan as a father and begins to follow him, as the film ends.

Species: There is only one known species of Tuojiangosaurus, that is T. multispinus.
Origin of Name: Qi means odd, while Chuan means river/plain, which is a reference to the Tuo River, where the first fossil of the species was found and after which it was named, while also being a reference to the Sichuan Province where the species was first discovered.
Gender: Male as evidenced by the description of the book, when put into Google Translate [2]
Design: The design of Qi Chuan is difficult to describe properly, as the coloration seems to change depending on the lighting of the scene. However, in terms of patterning, there is understanding, with the upper half of the body having stripes erupting from the boundary of the patterning.
Story: A sauropodlet called Er-Ma, running away from metriacanthosaurids chasing after it comes upon Qi Chuan, who is feeding peacefully. Soon, one of the theropods shows up and notices Qi Chuan. Qi Chuan, also having been alerted to the presence of the predator slowly walks towards it, roaring at it to intimidate. The theropod is not bothered as its mate(?) arrives at the scene to assist. The two theropods face off against Qi Chuan before attacking him head-on, despite Qi Chuan 's warnings. One theropod latches onto his shoulder, while the other circles to the opposite shoulder, ducking below its tail. Before the other theropod could attack, Qi Chuan lightly impales the base of the tail of the theropod latched onto his shoulder, with his thagomizer (Tail spikes). After the theropod falls off of his shoulder, the other theropod jumps onto Qi Chuan 's other shoulder but is quickly shoved aside after Qi Chuan pushes him off with a simple but powerful burst from his shoulder. Both theropods having recognized their defeat, quickly retreat, and Qi Chuan returns to his everyday life. Er-Ma, having noticed the short fight starts to see Qi Chuan as a father and begins to follow him, as the video ends with him and Qi Chuan walking away.
